ABOUT

Ever since I could remember, I have been enraptured by all things creative. From the age of 5 I remember drawing my own picture books and making up tunes on the piano, exploring all of the things my tiny hands could do and compiling ideas in my head of all the things I would one day create. To me, art is not paintings on a wall or the doodles sprawling each one of my notebooks, it's not the bodice that I spent hours hand stitching lace appliques onto or even the Beethoven Sonata No. 8 which I have been gruelingly perfecting for over a year. Art is everything that I have ever created that has brought me joy.

While my scope of interests are wide, I try to put a little bit of myself into everything I create. I love to tell stories through my art-- you'll see speckled throughout my portfolio my love for poetry and symbolism in many of my pieces. The color black somehow seems to infiltrate everything I touch, including the clothes I wear or the colors I paint with simply because it's my favorite color and I have always loved all things dark. My goal with my art is to create things I love and find my place within this vast world of creators. I want to make things with my hands, I want to tell stories and I want to make an impact. I acknowledge that even after an entire lifetime of creating art, I am still at the very beginning of my art journey.
