Geometric Portrait

Something I was really focusing on this piece was the pushing of values and defining of shapes with shadows and highlights, which meant adding lots of small areas of color to define the values. I chose this reference because the sharp shadows and highlights in the reflective folds of the jacket really pushed my ability to define shapes using color. I tried to emphasize these areas as much as possible by adding in as much detail as possible to define each shape and pushing the values of the reflections.
