Madoka

This is a personal piece I created in procreate when I was experimenting with different art styles. The style of this piece was influenced by artists like Haley Newsome, Tal Landin and Carles Dalmau, all of which have a cartoony and expressive style. The character depicted is Madoka Kaname from the TV series “Madoka Magica”. She’s often associated with pink and a warm, glowy color palette, which I really tried to convey using add and screen blending modes and pink overlays.
